Twins: Forever Fascinating
Twins have long been known to have special psychic connections. Now through a strange adoption experience, there is a new intriguing tale for us to ponder. It concerns a particular set of twins who were given up for adoption at birth--each going to a different family. Further, neither of the adoptive parents were told that their child had an identical twin.
One of the twins used to go around telling her friends that she felt she was "missing a twin." Following up her hunch, at 33 years of age, she decided to search into her history-- and was amazed to find that her intuition was correct. (Almost certainly, living together in the womb for nine months leaves lots of memories--even though we cannot put them into words.)
As with many twins, once they were united (reunited?) they also found amazing similarities. Though one was living in the US and one in France, they both became writers, they both have the same favorite movie (a German film called Wings of Desire) and both are Francophiles. And as for the adoption process, unfortunately those sort of practices were acceptable a few decades back. Fortunately, on that score, things have changed.
